GeneratePress Pro WordPress Theme

The most flexible and customizable theme I could find...

When I first started using WordPress I was blessed by finding a very powerful and highly customizable theme... Flextheme.

When they closed down I was really bummed out. As I started researching WordPress Themes I continued to get more and more bummed out. I just couldn't find a theme as customizable as Flextheme.

Then when I did find a decent theme I thought I could use they wanted to charge me $X for every website. At this time I had over 30 websites under my control I had to update. I wasn't going to buy a theme for every one of my websites!

Then I ran across GeneratePress Pro. Almost as flexible as Flextheme and lightweight so the load speed was very fast. Once I added Thrive Architect to it as my page builder I had complete and total control over every aspect of my website... each page, each post, the header, the menu, the footer, etc. I was ecstatic!

For every page & post, check out what I can do with GeneratePress Pro...

I can override the default setting for the sidebars. My default setting is "Left Sidebar". With many of the pages/posts I create I don't want any sidebars so I'll commonly select "No Sidebars".

I love having control over this!

Under the Footer Widget setting I can choose how many Footer Widgets I want for this page.

Along with this I can use "Dynamic Widgets" which allows me to pick what pages/posts I want a widget to show up on. This is a very cool free plugin!

With the Disable Elements option, by page and post I can choose what I want to show.

The Top Bar is at the top of the screen. It's widget driven. This means I can use "Dynamic Widgets" to control which widget shows up on which pages/posts, assuming I want to even show the Top Bar on this specific page or post.

Another feature I just love, and I use it a lot!

For example I may have a special message and link for people on a specific page.

The Content Container allows me to set the container type. I never change this, but I wanted you to see it's an option.

GeneratePress has a free version you get from WordPress Theme (click link for free version). As you'll see, it has a 5 Star rating from 1348 people! You don't see a 5 Star rating on WordPress plugins or themes very often! This really says a lot!

But it's the Pro version which gives you so much flexibility and customizability of your theme, website, pages and posts. You need to get GeneratePress Pro for total control over your website.

Click this GeneratePress Pro link to learn more about this amazing theme! I'm telling you, once you see everything this responsive theme offers and how must customization you have you won't settle for anything else.

This is the only theme I use! There's just no way I'm willing to give up all of the customizability and flexibility of this theme, not to mention it being so lightweight so it loads faster which is important for SEO.

Installing GeneratePress Pro:

Here's what you do if you're interested...

You download the free version from your WordPress Dashboard under Appearance, then select Themes. From the Themes window you click the "Add New" button at the top left of the window.

You'll search for "GeneratePress".

You'll install it and activate it.

Then you'll go to GeneratePress' Website to purchase and then download GeneratePress Pro.

By the way, you can install this on as many sites as you want at no additional cost!

Once purchased you download it. Then you go to your WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins, choose Add New. But this time you'll click the button "Upload Plugin".

You'll click "Select File" and go to the folder you saved the download file and select the file you downloaded. Install it, activate it. It should take you to the GeneratePress Pro settings window (Appearance/GeneratePress) where you'll enter your activation code and then select what parts you want to turn on.

The only two I didn't Activate was "Secondary Menu" and "Site Library". I don't need a secondary menu on this site and since I use Thrive Architect to build my pages and use their templates I don't need the Site Library. I also couldn't Activate "WooCommerce" to customize it because I don't have WooCommerce installed on my site.

I believe you'll love this theme as much as I do. I'm very analytical and I have high requirements for my theme (and my page builder). Between GeneratePress Pro and ThriveSuite which includes Architect for page building I couldn't be happier, and that says a lot considering my high expectation level!
