For the purpose of this article, when I say RV I'm also including Conversion Vans, 5th wheels and pull campers. The point is, having a house on wheels or being pulled allowing you to travel the country.

I Love The RV Lifestyle

The RV lifestyle is very appealing to me and millions of other American's. The idea that you can jump into the RV which is like a home on wheels and explore this beautiful country is super appealing to millions of us. One week you can be on the ocean and the next week at a mountain lake and the week after that at a national park. The options are endless!

The RV lifestyle has grabbed the interest of millions of people. Generally they start out using their RV for vacations throughout the year, fall in love with it and then many decide to live full-time in an RV.

My uncle and aunt did this. For about 4 years they lived full-time in their 5th wheel. They would travel to places to work to bring in some additional money like working Christmas tree lots during the Christmas season or they signed up to be a RV park supervisor and maintenance people which allowed them to stay there for free.

They loved this life.

My uncle pulled a 5th wheel. They preferred this over an RV because it allowed them to use the truck to run around the area. Me, I prefer an RV and towing a vehicle. There's also those who do the pull trailer option.

Any of these 3 options are a good solution. What you choose to do is a personal decision, there's no right or wrong answer.

Laura and my first RV was a used 28' RV. We got a great deal on it and then put about $4000 into it before we made our first trip to the Oregon coast for the kids spring vacation.

I will tell you, half of the fun of vacationing is planning out the trip. For the 4 months prior to our hitting the road we discussed and planned out the vacation. The family meeting sit downs and googling things and looking at a map was a blast. We all had our thoughts and ideas of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do.

We stayed at 3 RV parks we made reservations at with 2 right on the ocean and 1 was in the Redwoods so we could experience the Redwoods also. Four nights we boon-docked, one night in a Walmart parking lot, another night in a pull-out on the coast and two nights were at rest areas.

We all fell in love with vacationing by RV. There's a lot to be said about being 100% self-contained. Hungry? Open the refrigerator and make a sandwich. Need to use the bathroom? No stopping, just go to the bathroom in the RV. Getting tired? Find a place to pull over and go to bed.

We have a heater to keep us warm at night, we have a water heater for hot water for cooking and showers. We have a generator to to keep our two batteries charged up and run the electrical in the RV giving us all of the necessities to live in the RV.

What I personally loved the most is how this brings the family closer together. We had great conversations driving down the road, all kicking back and totally relaxed. Sitting at a table or on the couch while driving down the road with huge windows on both sides to watch the scenery while driving down the road was a whole different ballgame than sitting in a car.

All in all, RV'ing has been great for the family.

What's our next journey?

We're looking at home schooling the kids and RV'ing for 3-6 months straight. Those I'm coaching and the training webinars I'll be doing could be from anywhere in the country. Coaching may be while I'm driving down the road heading to our next destination.

The only downside to our first trip is we didn't pull a vehicle. That's largely because the RV we bought wasn't powerful enough to also pull a vehicle. Before we invested a lot of money into an RV we first wanted to experience it and make sure it was something we'd all like and would want to continue doing.

We fell in love with it.

My biggest regret is we didn't get into RV's sooner. That's largely because we had a lake cabin where we spent most of our vacations and free time.

Picture Owning An RV (or Camper) Giving You The Freedom To Travel And Explore The Country

RV'ing isn't cheap, especially these days when the gas costs are so high. At 8 mpg average, every 300 miles costs us $150 at $4/gal. Our Oregon coast trip's biggest expense was gas at $1058.

But even if you took a car and stayed in hotels and ended up eating out for every meal, this would be costly too.

Either way, vacationing is costly. But with an RV we have all of the luxuries of home with us. If we wanted to stay on vacation longer we could've. It was a very fun trip!

Could you imagine being able to take a home on wheels around the country to experience different things?

You go where you want to go, and you never have to worry about finding a motel room.

Explore the ocean coastal areas by traveling up or down the coast line. There are so many things to experience and see on the coast.

Take a trip to the mountains to a crystal clear lake and go fishing for the week. Take up fly fishing and learn to tie your own flies.

Do a roller coaster road trip and hit all of the theme parks with the best roller coasters from coast to coast.

The options are endless.

There are also a lot of options for having a home on wheels... small Class "C" RV, big Class "A" RV, a 5th wheel, a pull camper and a conversion van.

With gas prices going up there are a lot of people selling their RV's. The prices are dropping and it's anticipate by mid 2023 you'll be able to get one at a really good price. It's a good time to get into RV'ing.

Like mentioned at the beginning, there's also over a million people who are living in RV's full time. They've sold their house and live full time in an RV.

Could you imagine living full-time in an RV? What would it take to make this happen?

Either you've already got a lot of money in savings or you have a home business which gives you this kind of flexibility to run the business anywhere in the world so long as you have an internet connection.

If this is something you have an interest in, do the research. There's a lot of information about RV's, living in RV's, how to buy an RV and so on out on the internet.

People Who Own Their Own Home Business Will Have Opportunities & Freedom "Employees" Will Never Experience!

It's like I continuous state, "People who own their own home business have far more flexibility and freedom than employees have."

This is another motivator for the new business owner starting out... to gain their freedom to do things like this. To travel when they want to travel, to stay on vacation for as long as they want to vacation and much more.

Where the employee is excited for their 2-week vacation once a year, the person who built his own home business goes on vacation when he wants for as long as he wants, depending of course on the type of home business they build.

That's the beauty of being a home business owner where there are numerous business options allowing you to have this kind of lifestyle.

In fact, when looking at doing FHB having my freedom to travel while running the business was a condition to it. I don't need to do FHB. Instead I'm doing it because there's a real need for what I'm doing to help people survive the terrible economy we're faced with and to solve the problem of so many failing at building a home business so I created a business model to support my having the freedom I wanted.

I'm sharing this with you to give you an example of how you can mold a home business around you and your lifestyle. It can be done.

I've worked from home for 35 years now and I wouldn't want it any other way. I've never missed a kids sporting event, I was there at all of the school meetings and we've gone on amazing family vacations! Back in 2005 we took 6 weeks and traveled through 35 states vacationing every step of the way.

What's is your passion?

Maybe you're more into exotic vacations.

Or maybe you want to ultimately own your own airplane or jet where you can just take off at a moments notice.

Or maybe you're younger or not yet married or have no children yet and you want to become financially secure and have your big purchases like a home handled before getting married or having children. This is becoming more common these days than years past.

The question you need to ask is, "Will being an employee working for someone else allow me to create the life I desire, or do I need to look at other options?"

My passion is things that bring the family closer together. A pre-requisite to this was to have control over my time and to create an income allowing me to do the things which would bring us closer together.

As those who know me know, I've always worked very hard. When not vacationing, or going to a child's event I would work 10-12 hour days 6 days a week. I worked my butt off! It was all worth it because this is how I was able to take the time and have the money to do these amazing vacations and other things.

You should also know, it isn't uncommon for me to work with clients or handle business issues here and there while vacationing. I just worked all of this around the plans for the day. I would even visit clients, or provide in person training while on vacation.

Clients love the in person attention and training.

This is another reason why I want the addresses of the people I work with... I may be calling them to see if they want to get together while vacationing in their area.

Every home business is different. And you have so many options to choose from! Here's what I can promise you... once you make the decision to build a home business and then get it built you'll wish you had done it years ago.

The other thing I guarantee you if you're currently trying to build a home business, if you pick up the course, "Build Your Home Business The Right Way" you'll wish you had this course when you first started building a home business to help you build a home business faster at less cost, and help you avoid the common pitfalls of building a home business.

This is your life. You only get to go through it once so make it your best life and create the life you desire. Just make sure you go at it with your eyes wide open and fully aware of the challenges ahead. But once you get threw those challenges, you'll look back and say it was all worth it.
