Do you have any idea of how many backyard marketers there are out there?
A lot! This is a problem for multiple reasons.
First and foremost, there is so much more to marketing than just knowing a marketing strategy or two.
Because of so many courses pushing the "agency business model" of selling marketing services to offline businesses it has created tens of thousands of "backyard marketers". Talk about a highly competitive market place with a prospect base being bombarded by 100+ other people trying to sell them a marketing strategy!
SEO is the #1 product they sell for the big ongoing monthly fees. Yet, the high majority are still selling it wrong and are not putting it in place correctly because they've been mislead of what SEO really is. (If you have any questions about this, Mr. C would love to discuss it with you.)
To do this specific business your sales and marketing skills had better be top-notched. The skillsets to succeed at this business is a lot, and easily 90% of the people who try to do this business will ultimately fail from the training they're getting out there. It's a tough business to tap into and keep going, but course creator aren't going to tell you this.
Even if you're selling something other than SEO, businesses are just done with all of the interruptions from all of the solicitations and cold-calls trying to sell them marketing services.
If you're one of the few who actually succeed at this business, it's true you can make a lot of money! But you've really got to have very effective business models, strategies and sales skills.
Mr. C knows how tough this business is because he trained a bit over 100 people in this business in 2010. Then he expanded what he taught and did another training in 2012 for an even larger group in what he called, "The Ultimate Training Course For Offline Consultants" (UTC).
You can learn more about this at the
And yes (if you checked him out on the About page), he really did offer a $60,000 per year income guarantee in 12 months or they could get their money back.
Not one person asked for a refund. Everyone says this was the most thorough and best training they’ve ever received on building a home business and marketing their services to offline businesses. Here's what one person said which is a common response to this course...
No, Mr. C doesn't want to do this training again.
Not when there are so many other far better and far easier businesses to do which can make you more money in less time with a far more stable income.
The only way he'd recommend being an offline marketing consultant today is if you do a partnership where one person specializes in the sales and marketing side (this person needs to have very strong sales and marketing skills) and the other person handles all of the implementation of the services.
Obviously, as they get going and grow each partner would build a team under them. (If you're interested in this business it could be a smart move to work with an existing agency who already has all of the pieces in place versus starting from scratch to build this business yourself.)
The sales and marketing side is the key here because you're in a highly competitive market place.
It's true you can make a lot of money in this business, but breaking into it is very hard.
Mr. C said if there were enough people interested in what he taught in UTC he may (no promises here) pull the recordings and course materials for the course and make it available. But this is a discussion for another day. Let's just say it's on the table with enough interest.
You need to understand, Mr. C did that training solely because, first of all, he was pissed at all of the "backyard marketers" who weren't putting the marketing in place correctly.
Mr. C was spending so much time fixing the marketing they were putting in place he knew he needed to take a different approach and train a group of people to do their job better and to be able to fix the marketing others put in wrong. Mr. C knew he couldn't clone himself, but he wanted to get as close as he could in a few months (at that point Mr. C had been studying all things marketing for about 27 years).
Second, because so many courses pushed the "agency business model" including some $2995 courses there was still a huge percentage of people who were still seriously struggling with many quitting. Mr. C had students from these high cost courses and they all said the training he offered far exceeded what they learned in the $2995 course.
My friend, Mr. C has been doing this for a lot of years, 38 to be exact as of this writing. You can learn more about Mr. C at the "About BMHB And Mr C page".
Also, if you're one of those people who has learned a marketing skill or other skills from other courses the great news is you'll very likely be able to use those skills in a far better business. It will be one or more less skillset(s) you'll need to learn which will help you get your new home business up and running faster.
Keep in mind, what we're talking about here is building a "real" home business which requires a different set of skills and knowledge than simply learning a marketing strategy.
Do what you want, it's your life and your future. We're just sharing our position on this specific home business and why we don't recommend it to most people.
